RICHARD REED, Founder and CEO of Innocent Drinks

Richard Reed is the co-founder of innocent, the No.1 smoothie brand in Europe. Richard started the business in May 1999 by with two friends and has grown in less than 10 years to a turnover of over £100m. Innocent now has over 70% market share in the UK and sells in 14 different countries across Europe, with its products available in every major chain, from Sainsbury’s to Boots to Starbucks.

Richard is also non-executive Director on the Department of Energy and Climate Change and sits on the Development Board of Oxfam. He is a government advisor on entrepreneurship and sits on the Small Business Council. Richard and Innocent’s awards include Britain’s Greatest Business at the televised Great Britons Awards; E&Y Young Entrepreneur of the Year; Most Admired Business Leader by Marketing magazine; National Business Awards’ Small/Medium Business of the Year, and Orange Innovative Company of the Year.

Richard joins us at London Metropolitan University to talk about how he grew his small idea into one of the major brands of today.

Please note this talk will start promptly at 5.00pm. Richard has another engagement and will have to leave by 6.30pm, therefore timing is important to get the most of his talk.

Please ensure you arrive in enough time for the 5pm start.
